Summer 2023 Intern - IT Operations Intern (OIG) (ID: 23514)

Summary
The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System’s (Board’s) Office of Inspector General conducts audits and evaluations of the Board and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (Bureau’s) programs and operations to assess and promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in these programs and operations while helping to prevent and detect fraud, waste, and abuse. The IT Operations Intern will learn to perform daily IT operational tasks, assist with daily OIG IT environment efforts, and assist with documentation.

Expected Projects
  • Assist creating custom lists, features, web parts, event handlers, and workflows.
  • Assist with Inventory management.
  • Learn and assist with basic application and user support tasks.
  • Documenting 'As-Is' through 'To-Be' architectures of our OIG test environment.
  • Participates in message development and presentations to senior management.

Suggested Major(s)/Minor(s)

  • Computer science, information technology, software programming, or related fields, either graduate or undergraduate.

Required Documents for Application
Two letters of recommendation required.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, data analysis skills, as well as intellectual curiosity and professional skepticism.
  • Strong and highly adaptable problem solving skills.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and experience in .Net.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS.
  • Desired experience with SharePoint platforms to include SharePoint Online.

This internship will be a hybrid role, with a combination of in-person and remote work. US Citizenship is required for all Board internships and applicants must be current students, graduating from their program fall 2023 or later. Upperclassmen preferred.
