Associate Government Program Analyst

Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) will provide support on budget, travel, training, evaluation of management metrics (such as Work Product Metrics; training, etc.) aid in contracting, procurement, and document (technical report) production. The AGPA independently performs a wide variety of analytical assignments such as; facilitating and providing support and guidance to division management; conducting research; acting as a liaison between Energy Division management and staff; preparation of project schedules; researching, analyzing, reviewing, editing and preparing reports; oversight and maintenance of contract encumbrances; providing recommendations to the staff and management on compliance with the State Administrative Rules and Regulations.

The California Public Utilities Commission's Energy Division develops and administers energy policy and programs to serve the public interest including addressing the climate crisis, advising the Commission, and ensuring compliance with the Commission decisions, statutory mandates and records retention policies. The Energy Division works to provide objective and expert analyses that promote reliable, safe and environmentally sound energy services at the lowest reasonable rates for the people of California. The Budget, Administration and Tariff Section supports the Energy Division and is critical to its success.
