PR Intern/Co-Op

Issues Management Group (IMG), one of Boston’s top strategic communication, public affairs, and digital firms, is growing and looking for talented Interns with the desire to work across accounts and disciplines to join the agency.

IMG offers an exciting and dynamic learning environment focused on expanding our interns’ integrated public relations skillset. We look for interns who are interested in learning more about media, government and community relations, and putting their skills to use.

This isn’t an opportunity to do coffee runs; we show our interns the ins and outs of an established public relations and marketing firm. Your experience will include seeing first-hand what it takes to pitch the media; generate quality (traditional and digital) media coverage; write news releases and blog posts; assist with event planning; and create digital content.

We firmly believe in nurturing potential, and we do that through a fun, positive and collaborative atmosphere that encourages each team member to play at the top of their game.

Our office is currently operating on a hybrid model. This is a full-time, 6-month internship.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Along with creativity, drive and self-motivation, IMG is currently looking for an intern who:
  • Has availability five days a week from 8:30AM – 5:30PM Monday through Friday (or, if during the summer, 8:30AM - 2:00PM on Fridays)
  • Has prior communications and agency experience, or has held internships in a related industry
  • Has strong writing and communication skills
  • Has experience with digital media
  • Enjoys working in a fast-moving, dynamic and team-oriented environment
  • Devours the daily news
  • Pays close attention to detail
  • Has some fun while they’re at it!

We hire candidates who are smart, determined and bring something new to the table. If you excel at what you do, we want to talk with you. As an equal opportunity employer, Issues Management Group will not discriminate on a basis of race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other facet of your identity.

If you are looking for a company with an intellectually stimulating, collaborative and respectful culture, new challenges and growth opportunities, and a range of industries to dive into, Issues Management Group may be the place for you. We have a terrific professional development program, new business success program, flexible work from home policy and summer hours ever Fridays. To learn more visit issuesgroup.com.
