Scientist (LCMS) | EAG Laboratories
EAG Laboratories is a global leader in analytical chemistry, advanced microscopy, surface analysis and analytical testing services of various types of materials from synthetic biomaterials to nanotechnology. Our laboratories are at the forefront of this revolution, providing the scientific expertise and analytical techniques to support companies at every phase of the product lifecycle, from R&D to manufacturing.
Our laboratory in Maryland Heights, Missouri provides organic chemistry testing specializing in investigative analytical chemistry. We have an opening for a Scientist. As a Scientist, you will be designing experiments, interpreting analytical data from LC-MS (Liquid Chromatography - Mass Spectrometry) instrumentation, as well as apply additional analytical data from techniques such as GC-MS (Gas Chromatography - Mass Spectrometry), FTIR (Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy), NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) and ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma optical emission spectrometry) in solving a specific problem and write scientific reports fit for the audience that includes specific conclusions, exact methodology, and supporting analytical data.
In this role, you could be involved in evaluating the label claims of consumer products, reverse engineering pharmaceuticals/nutritional supplements, contaminant identification, determining sources of off odors/flavors/colors, extractables and leachables of consumer electronics, testing medical devices and much, much more.
If these types of cases excite you, enjoy a challenge, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a team centric approach to solving problems, we encourage you to apply.
Note: This role is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All accepted applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR: U.S. Person is a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Successful candidates will have a PhD or MS degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry with hands-on analytical chemistry experience with a wide variety of organic materials for multiple projects at a time. Able to demonstrate fine and gross motor skills, sitting, lifting, bending, speaking and writing. You will need to be able to analytical data from techniques such as GC-MS, FTIR, NMR and ICP in solving a specific problem and write scientific reports fit for the audience that includes specific conclusions, exact methodology, and supporting analytical data.
