Title: Field Service Technician
Location: Schenectady, NY-Onsite work
Job Hire Type: Full-time Permanent
Work Hours: 40hrs/Week
Shift: Rotational support


Summary:

The technician will be responsible for real-time monitoring and the response of renewable energy power generating assets and will work with a dedicated global renewable remote operation team to drive safety, quality, improved customer satisfaction and velocity of response around remote turbine and wind farm operations.

Job Description:

  • The operator should exhibit technical skills and perform troubleshooting by applying remote operations centre fault handling system procedures and special instructions:
  • He should demonstrate and have the ability to communicate with field and support stake holder, Interface with the site team and customer operation centre when observing network interruption or loss of communication between assets and monitoring systems.
  • He should be able to escalate and communicate to the next level of fleet support via verbal and written when remote troubleshooting is not effective ensuring to provide any relevant information to aid in additional support
  • He should monitor the Remote Operation Center (ROC) notifications for customer requests during the shift and take the necessary actions immediately.

Requirement and Skills:

  • Associate degree or equivalent degree in a related technical field (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum 2 years experience in industry-related experience)
  • Highly motivated, self-driven and ability to demonstrate leadership skills.
  • Ability to adopt responsibility and work within structured work methods driven by a sense of urgency and worker reliability.
