Senior Financial Analyst
Job Description
The Sr. Financial Analyst will support our four Boston Stations - NBC10, Telemundo Boston, NECN & NBC Sports Boston.
FP&A Responsibilities
- Participate in the annual budgeting and strategic planning process
- Responsible for monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis
- Prepare periodic financial reports evaluating and interpreting the company’s financial performance
- Maintain the company’s current year budgets and forecasts
- Work with operational leaders to improve the operations and business
- Identify and recommend spending and investment alternatives across all operational areas
- Perform ad hoc analyses and support overall finance function
- Assist with expense and capital / fixed asset tracking
- Ad hoc strategic analysis and research
Accounting/Operational Responsibilities
- Manage all close related activities
- Resolve any accounts payable / purchase order issues identified
- Assist other departments in Pcard and T&L card processes and expense reconciliation
- Review monthly / quarterly accruals
- Prepare account reconciliations for any assigned accounts
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries to SAP as needed
- Extract data for T&E, PCard, mobile phones for audit/review purposes
- Solve operational and business-related financial issues
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Excel and MS Outlook experience
- 3+ years’ experience in Finance, Accounting, Accounts Payable, and / or Payroll Support
