Sr. Research Technician - Biology
Brandeis University is delighted to announce a career opportunity as Sr. Research Technician in Biology department. The research tech will independently perform laboratory experiments under the guidance of Dr. Paradis in support of preclinical studies of a novel therapy for epilepsy. Experimental responsibilities include using rodent seizure models and surgical techniques, rodent EEG recordings, and collection and analysis of data.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performing experiments using mouse models of epilepsy including surgery and EEG recordings.
- Data compilation and analysis.
- Standard mouse husbandry and colony maintenance.
- Standard molecular and cell biology lab techniques.
- Ordering supplies and other administrative tasks in the lab.
The physical requirement of this position is exposure to and handling of rodents, recombinant DNA, infectious agents, hazardous chemicals
Job Requirements:
- BS in Biology/Neuroscience or equivalent required
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
