Scientific Research Internship, Masters/Graduate - Summer 2023

This Scientific Research Intern will be partnering with our HealthCore, Inc. team, specifically within the Health Economics & Outcomes Research and Safety & Epidemiology lines of business. For the duration of this internship, the selected candidate will be responsible for supporting research activities for studies conducted by the team.

This is a 100% remote work opportunity based out of our Wilmington, Delaware office. This internship is slated to run for 10-12 weeks on a full-time, or 40 hours per week schedule.

How you will make an impact:
  • Supporting the development of study-specific requirement documents and deliverables
  • Performing study-specific analysis and feasibility assessments
  • Participating in business initiatives to optimize/enhance organizational research capabilities
  • Gathering & organizing study requirements in support of coding and data definitions
  • Facilitating the production and quality checking of study output data, statistical analyses, and/or other study deliverables
  • Developing and organizing study presentation content deliverables (i.e., tables, graphs, and figures)
  • Reviewing literature to support the development of research proposals, study protocols, and/or reports, presentations, and publications of study findings
  • Developing and organizing of research knowledge and coding repositories

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled fulltime at an accredited college or university during internship
  • Pursuing a graduate degree in Health Service Research, Economics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a related field

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Familiarity with basic statistical analysis and statistical software (SAS)
  • Familiarity with searchable research publication resources (e.g. PubMed & Ovid)
