We support public company Compensation Committees on all matters relating to executive and director compensation. We also support venture-backed, pre-IPO companies, providing research and recommendations relating to executive compensation, founder/CEO compensation, the design and implementation of employee option plans, and considerations specific to the transition from pre-IPO to public company programs.

Business Analyst
We are currently interviewing experienced candidates for a Business Analyst to be an integral part of our Finance and Accounting team. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, takes initiative and wants to grow with the firm.

The role will report to our CFO and will be responsible for tax reporting and filing, financial analytics, and financial modelling, as well as supporting our billing and project management, software, and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities for this role include:
  •  Analyze financial results, identify trends, provide forecasting support
  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual state and local tax filings and reports for management review
  • Responsible for annual tax related preparations in coordination with external tax advisors
  • Support client accounts and manage reporting from our client database in NetSuite OpenAir
  • Assist with the monthly billing cycle and account receivable
  • Assist with planning and implementing upgrades of financial reporting software
  • Provide support and assistance to the Finance and Accounting team for ad hoc projects as required
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in general accounting in a small to mid-size firm with direct experience in tax reporting, accounts receivable and interfacing directly with clients
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts, capable of correlating data entry impact on P&L and B/S, ability to see the bigger picture through Financials
  • Experience working with external tax advisors
  • Experience with multistate and local tax reporting
  • Experience with NetSuite OpenAir and QuickBooks strongly preferred
  • Experience with dashboards and dashboard development strongly preferred (MS Power BI and Power Pivot)
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective with Executives, internal Consultants and colleagues, as well as external clients
  • Must be highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Works well both independently and as part of a larger distributed team environment, and the interest to grow with the firm
  • Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office Suite programs

The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $150,000. Actual salary may vary depending on factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, and experience. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus and a full range of employer offered benefits.
