Facilities Career Specialty
DIA relies on Facility officers to ensure a safe and healthful workplace for the workforce to accomplish its mission. Facility officers manage DIA occupied facility space and manage all major and minor construction projects. They provide high quality architectural, mechanical, electrical engineering and planning, facilities management, and project management for DIA’s worldwide locations. Additionally, they coordinate and integrate global contingency operational activities and manage emergency preparedness and incident response activities. Our officers work across DIA, the Intelligence Community, the Department of Defense, and the federal government to coordinate facility-related activities on behalf of DIA.

Safety and Occupational Health Manager* (Occupational Series 0018)
The safety and occupational health of DIA personnel is paramount. Our Safety and Occupational Health Managers design and administer programs, policies, and practices aimed to eliminate and minimize human injury and property and productivity losses, caused by harmful contact incidents. We are seeking candidates with knowledge of: 1) the principles, standards, and techniques of safety and occupational health management; and 2) pertinent elements of engineering, physical science, ergonomics, psychology, industrial hygiene, physiology, sociology, and other scientific and technological fields, that contribute to the achievement of comprehensive safety and occupational health objectives. Emergency Manager (Occupational Series 0089)
As a DIA Emergency Manager, you will play a role in preventing, protecting DIA from, preparing DIA for, and helping DIA respond to and recover from crises, disasters, humanitarian emergencies, hazards, and natural or man-made/technological (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, high-yield explosives) incidents. If you are interested in leading and or performing emergency management work, including coordinating with our partners in emergency management, and have the ability to establish effective working relationships and communicate effectively and accurately, orally and in writing, please apply!

DIA Environmental Protection Specialists advise on, manage, supervise, or perform administrative or program work relating to environmental protection programs (e.g., programs to protect or improve environmental quality, control pollution, remedy environmental damage, or ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.)
