Video Content Creator

The Actors Theatre Workshop, a nonprofit theater and community center that serves homeless children, needs experienced video content creators and editing volunteers to make videos for every class of our Builders of the New World Spring program.

Bring your heart and commitment to mentor children in our award-winning theatre and education after-school program that has served over 2,500 homeless children and their families, and partnered with over 20 housing facilities, since 1995.

Our program helps at-risk students express their voice, see beyond their current circumstances, and envision a positive future. And they need you to reach their full potential!

*Important information:

This is a full-time, non-paid internship. Interns would be asked to work on-site for 40 hours a week. No transportation or living accommodation is provided.

We have many years of footage from our adult acting workshops and community programs that we want to share with you and the world. After sharing a selection of these videos online and receiving such positive feedback from every corner of the globe, we are taking steps to make more of our work accessible.

By working with this material, you will gain deeper insights into the emotional and psychological breakdown of drama, and the importance of script analysis, which are both essential to creating compelling narratives through film.

Shoot and edit footage of our community programs, acting workshops, our Open Mic Night, and our New Play Reading Series. Skills in shooting, lighting, audio, pre/post production, logging, editing, and Adobe Premiere are required.
