Summer 2023 Investment Banking Internship
Internship Description:
Oaklins DeSilva+Phillips is hiring an Intern to work with our investment banking team in New York for the summer of 2023 (June-August). The candidate will work on a tight-knit team of financial and media professionals and be involved in all aspects of ODP’s work. Intern should be a self-starter, take initiative, think outside the box, be creative, have an expressed interest in TMT-focused work, and have familiarity with the general market landscape and current events.
Responsibilities:
- Support Documentation & Business Development teams with Confidential Information Memoranda and Pitches including market research, buyer list research, formatting and production
- Support ODP's investment banking transaction team through research and business development initiatives
- Assist with Salesforce maintenance / updating and transaction process record keeping on live deals and prospecting initiatives
- Facilitate M&A transaction logistics including process document creation (Working Group Lists, Prospect Lists, Outreach Reports)
- Assist other team members with lead-generation and marketing efforts such as facilitating firm-sponsored events and external communications (eg. newsletters, event invitations, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Current juniors and seniors only
- GPA of 3.4 or above
- U.S. work authorization required
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership and ability to work independently and proactively
- Prior experience working in media/investment banking a plus
- An ability to apply lessons and feedback across a variety of settings
- Interest in digital media, advertising & marketing, mobile, social media, EdTech, HealthTech, or information services
