Marketing & Communications Intern

Who Are You? 

You are a dynamic self-starter with an enthusiasm for Communications looking for a 10-week summer internship opportunity for 20 hours a week from late-May to mid-August (Start and end dates are flexible based on the best candidate’s schedule and academic requirements) 

You could work fully remotely or in a hybrid way in the Washington, DC metro area or Atlanta, GA. (Eastern Time Zone strongly preferred)

You have coursework, direct experience, and/or demonstrated passion for at least one of the following areas:  
  • Marketing/Communications 
  • Journalism 
  • Digital Engagement/Advocacy  
  • International Education/Exchange 
  • Nonprofit Administration 
  •  

What Will You Be Doing? 
  • Overall Responsibility  
Reporting directly to the Digital Communications Manager, the Marketing & Communications Intern will support and contribute to the organization’s strategic communications goals. 
  • Content Collection  
Gather content by interviewing program participants, alumni, and staff as well as catalogue photos and other archival materials 
  • Content Production  
Create written and visual content for website, social media, email, and manage social media accounts by scheduling posts, monitoring inboxes, and responding to comments and messages 
  • Administrative Assistance  
Plan and execute digital fundraising campaigns and audit organizational collateral for brand compliance
