Quality Enhancement Data Analysis and Reporting Specialist

North Suffolk is looking for a Data Analysis and Reporting Specialist to join our team! The Data Analysis and Reporting Specialist must have experience working with large and complex sets of healthcare data as they will conduct audits, review, generate and report on data from various sources including the SQL database system. We are looking for candidates who possess very strong organizational skills, maintain excellent documentation, and have experience with auditing and interpreting data, with the ability to present data to senior and executive level managers.

What You'll Do:
  • Develop and implement data collection process and reporting activities as part of continuous quality improvement. 
  • Review data for accuracy, clean data sets of varying size and complexity, prepares data, and presents reports for management teams.
  • Participate in Risk Management and Quality Enhancement processes and committees and ensure that QE data is utilized to develop solutions and action plans in response to the outcomes and or identified issues.
  • Work with clinical staff, administrators and managers to support the implementation of outcomes tools and quality reporting measures.
  • Facilitate, interpret and present data to various levels of management and conduct program audits both onsite and remote and provides detailed descriptions of analyses and findings for compliance deliverables, and quality initiatives.
  • Represent the Agency on external data-related workgroups or committees and support other areas in the QM department when needed.
  • Actively seek new knowledge of methods for data management and analysis to increase quality and compliance measures to support the security, and confidentiality of client-related data.
  • Work with QM staff and department managers to support workflow and output of data collection processes and reporting systems.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and as-needed aggregate and trend reports related to program, department and agency quality and outcomes data. 
  • Responsible for the preparation of quality and outcomes data, for annual reports and participate in special projects as assigned by the Executive Committee, with approval from the Director of Compliance and QM.
  • Assure integrity of data through system audits, staff training, etc.

What You'll Need:
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required in Public Health, Statistics, Computer Science or a similar discipline with three to five years’ experience managing databases and conducting data analysis. Master’s Degree preferred. 
  • Experience: Experience in a behavioral health outpatient setting or experience implementing Quality Improvement and Auditing Systems.
  • Skills/Other: Advanced computer skills including Power BI, Excel, SQL, Outlook, and PowerPoint. 
  • Vaccination: At least one shot of the COVID-19 vaccination is required prior to hire and complete the full vaccination schedule in the appropriate timeline as documented by the CDC requirements for vaccination.
