Accounting Intern

Let's Talk About Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Intern, you will work directly with talented individuals of all levels.  With guidance from a departmental leader you will work on review and analysis of accounts for journal entry preparation for month end close and account reconciliations for assigned accounts. Our ideal intern must be deadline oriented and efficient with time management as well as possess a high attention to detail and exceptional research skills. The right candidate for our internship will be expected to know commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting, healthcare technology, business process and rely on mentorship, instructions, and pre-established guidelines to perform the job's functions.  

This is preferred to be a hybrid role/on-site role located at our Peachtree Corners office in Georgia. Candidates will be asked to be available to participate in on-site/remote team meetings. This position is also open to remote candidates.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Ability to work full-time for 12 weeks during Summer 2023; program dates are May 22, 2023 – August 11, 2023 OR June 12, 2023 – September 1, 2023
  • Accounting or Business academic studies that will lead to a Bachelor's or Master's Degree (or any related field)
  • Experience Familiar with standard concepts, practice, and procedures of accounting
  • The ability to proactively research questionable items and find resolutions
  • Ability to meet all month end close timeline schedules
  • Intermediate experience with Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Performs general ledger account research and analysis. Recognizes and acts upon inaccurate postings, accruals, and invoices with limited supervision.
  • Ensures that revenue recognition and general ledger postings are accurate.
  • Performs account analysis and reconciliations as needed.
  • Coordinate with various departments and take the lead to capture accurate information needed.
  • Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
  • Maintains financial integrity by following internal controls.
  • Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
  • Take on special projects as necessary.
  • Great interpersonal relations, team cooperation and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations
  • Exceptional communication skills and interest and enthusiasm related to medical technology industry and a career with ResMed

Pay Range:
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Base pay : $18/hr.
