Marketing & Communications Intern

Creative Time is New York’s veteran and vanguard public art organization. We accept applications for our fall, spring, and summer internship programs. Our interns gain hands-on experience developing research, producing projects, and contributing to organizational goals. Interns are invited to apply to a specific department including: Events & Development, Programming, and Marketing & Communications. Our interns participate in internal and external planning meetings, attend staff presentations, and travel to local cultural institutions. 

Our Communications team oversees all external communications including our website, social media, mailers, event invitations, video production, and digital archive. As a Comms intern, you can expect to gain experience working within the External Affairs department to create and execute strategic digital campaigns; support programming initiatives; update and organize archives and internal databases; handle image requests on behalf of the institution. Ideal candidates will have an interest in learning about communications and culture at large, excellent
written and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong understanding and passion for Creative Time’s mission and programming. If you’re interested in writing, digital strategy or visual communications, we want you on board to draft and develop timely social media posts cross platform; help evolve and create our content and digital strategy; maintain our image archive; conduct research on media outlets.

We are now accepting applications for our Summer 2023 internship program. We encourage undergraduate, graduate, and recent graduates (within the last year) to apply. International applicants will be considered but must make their own visa, travel, and accommodation arrangements and be authorized to work in the United States. Selection for the internship program is made on the basis of the applicant’s interest and motivation in working for Creative Time, demonstrated ability to contribute to a team setting, and commitment to a meaningful work experience. 

INTERNSHIP CALENDAR 
We are now accepting applications for our Summer 2023 internship program. Interns should be based in the New York City area and able to work in our offices or at local project sites for the duration of the program, June 5 through August 12, 2023. 

All interns are paid for participation in the internship program. The Summer 2023 internship has a stipend of $3,960. Interns are expected to work 24h/week. Preferably, the working schedule is Tuesday through Thursday but alternate schedules can be discussed. Creative Time’s office hours are 10am-6pm.
