Events & Development Intern
Creative Time is New York’s veteran and vanguard public art organization. We accept applications for our fall, spring, and summer internship programs. Our interns gain hands-on experience developing research, producing projects, and contributing to organizational goals. Interns are invited to apply to a specific department including: Events & Development, Programming, and Marketing & Communications. Our interns participate in internal and external planning meetings, attend staff presentations, and travel to local cultural institutions.
Our Development Department oversees all fundraising, cultivation and stewardship of our donors and grant-funders. As a Development Intern, you can expect to conduct research on individual and corporate sponsorship; assist with event planning for some of our largest cultivation events including our annual gala; draft text, design proposals, and coordinate grant schedules and materials; and work with the larger Creative Time team to indicate project-related funding needs. Interns will gain skills in grant writing, prospect research, and salesforce database management, preparing you for any future career in the arts or the non-profit sector, including database management and specialized research. If you want to get to know New York’s movers, shakers, and grantmakers, while learning the ins-and-outs of fundraising, the Development department is for you.
We are now accepting applications for our Summer 2023 internship program. We encourage undergraduate, graduate, and recent graduates (within the last year) to apply. International applicants will be considered but must make their own visa, travel, and accommodation arrangements and be authorized to work in the United States. Selection for the internship program is made on the basis of the applicant’s interest and motivation in working for Creative Time, demonstrated ability to contribute to a team setting, and commitment to a meaningful work experience.
