The Assembly Republican Public Affairs Office is looking for someone to join their growing team to fill the position of Public Affairs Coordinator. What you will do as a Public Affairs Coordinator:
- Work with the Public Affairs team to develop and coordinate select events, functions, and activities for the Conference under the supervision of the Director of Public Affairs and with guidance from principal members.
- Identify opportunities and implement strategies to advance Republican Conference initiatives to the media and designated constituencies regarding policies and programs benefitting the Conference.
- Track news and issues related to New York State government and compile information from press conferences and announcements.
- Generate written content such as op-eds, press releases and other communications.

We would like you to have strong communication skills along with a desire to see accuracy and excellence in your work. Please note, there are times when this position is required to work later hours during Session, however when we are not in Session, you can expect a more normal workday. A bachelor’s degree is required.
Salary starts at $40,000.
