2023 Summer - Wealth Management Intern - Miami, FL (In-Person)

Job Summary
Celebrating more than 60 years of rich history and recognition for service and excellence in the Financial Services industry, Raymond James is seeking a dynamic Wealth Management Intern who is a motivated, detail oriented and a creative problem solver to join our growing team. This role will work on specific projects and functional support to branch office operations, Financial Advisors and their prospective and existing clients, and other branch staff team members during the internship. The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills across multiple platforms (phone, email, in-person, virtual), and the ability to adapt procedures, processes, and techniques to assigned tasks and assignments. Internship Length: 9 weeks
Start Date: May 30, 2023
End Date: July 28, 2023
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Work closely with financial advisors, operations, and the client service team to support client service.
• Perform investment research.
• Gather and interpret investments data as well as make relevant recommendations.
• Work on projects to review and streamline investment management, portfolio analysis and rebalancing, and work with the operations team to implement innovative tools and solutions that drive efficiency.
• Conduct portfolio maintenance and reviews.
• Support and understand technology tools and processes utilized in a wealth management environment, including compliance.
• Assist with branch marketing, media, and events.
• Assist in client relationships management.
• Work alongside the team to deliver financial planning services to clients.
• Occasionally meet with clients and their families for portfolio reviews, planning meetings, etc.
• Work with the marketing team to understand the business development aspects of a wealth management firm.
• Support client events, webinars, networking, and other marketing events as necessary.
• Collaborate on specified projects and varied assignments to support branch operations, client services and practice marketing initiatives.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
 
 
Knowledge of

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements Education/Previous Experience
• Applicants are required to be enrolled in a college degree seeking program, preferably in a business-related field.
• Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
