We want to welcome the Data Management Specialist to our team by May 1, 2023. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. We will close this posting when the position is filled, even if that occurs before the application deadline.

We are a small team doing large-scale, innovative work to transform national policies and systems to build a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and belonging in the First Food (breastfeeding) field. We are highly collaborative and live our values of servant-leadership to the organizations that serve families and communities. Like many nonprofits, we are unwinding from an old story that working in this sector requires over-functioning in an environment of inadequate support. In that spirit, we celebrate the ability to hire and grow our team.

We envision a system right-sized to our capacity, allowing our work to shine and the team to thrive. We aim to foster a collegial learning environment as you are welcomed and blended into the existing staff team. Together, we will prioritize honest and proactive communication to fulfill our vision of a healthy balance in care for self, organization, and the systems with which we interact.

The USBC has funding from the Centers for Disease Control to work with our stakeholders to develop and implement a five-year policy, systems, and environmental change plan (2021 to 2026) that:
  • Addresses breastfeeding inequities.
  • Enhances collaboration and capacity-building opportunities for organizations at state, territorial, tribal, local, and community levels.
