Project Analyst Summer Internship 2024 (Requisition #997)

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory has internship opportunities for college students to spend the summer of 2024 getting great work experience, in great locations, supporting the world's greatest Navy.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory has excellent intern opportunities for Project Analysts. We are looking for energetic individuals that are passionate about project management and being part of an organization that uses project management principles to support the mission of the Naval Nuclear Program. The available positions will have exposure to various aspects of the Naval Nuclear Laboratory as we support delivery of products and continued development of our program management infrastructure. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
•  Develop and maintain resource loaded schedules for hardware or process development
•  Directly support Project Managers and line management on a variety of challenges
•  Engage with our Business Professionals, IT support, Project Managers, and Unit Managers
•  Provide project planning and scheduling
•  Manage resources and procurements
•  Measure budget performance
•  Coordinate and integrate project team efforts
•  Provide insight, help set priorities, and identify risks to project progress
•  Generate creative metrics
•  Determine innovative yet simple project tracking measures
•  Contribute to the tools and techniques used to manage our business

The NNL Internship is an approximate 10-12 week program starting in May/June 2024.
 
An internship position may result in a return internship or full-time employment offer upon successful completion of the program.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

Candidates for Project Analyst internship positions must be:
  • Pursuing Business, Finance, or related BS, MS, or PhD degrees from an accredited college or university
  • Must have completed at least first full year of college by May 2024
  • Enrolled/continuing in a degree program throughout this internship

Preferred Skills

  • Cumulative minimum GPA 3.0/4.0
  • Prior related internship, co-op, or work experience (paid or volunteer)
  • Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Defense (DOD) or Naval Nuclear Program experience
