Kids in Action- Spanish Immersion Pre-K Teacher

Job Description

Position Title: Kids in Action Spanish Immersion Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
Location: Kids in Action- Foster Elementary School
Hours per Week: 30.75 hours: Monday- Friday from 8:00am - 2:15pm
Compensation: $30.81/ hour

Job Description:
•To provide a safe, nurturing environment with enriching and developmentally appropriate experiences that lead to opportunities for social, emotional, physical and academic learning.
•Collaborate with other educators to create daily routines, activities and lessons to enhance each child’s Pre-Kindergarten experience and prepare them for Kindergarten.
•Track and assess children’s’ progress. Keeping anecdotal notes of each child and creating opportunities for each child to meet their social and academic possibilities.
•Maintain ongoing communication with parents through daily “Today’s Happening” emails and Monthly Newsletters. Two Parent/Teacher Conferences are also required.
•Participate in ten hours of Professional Development, related to Early Childhood Development and Curriculum. Complete First Aid and CPR training annually.
•Attend monthly Team Curriculum Planning and Staff Meetings.
