Regulatory Analyst - JC 362623 (LA Listing)

Join the Public Advocates Officea leading voice for utility consumers. 

The Water Branch within the Public Advocates Office is seeking a Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst I to join its LA Section #1 team.

Under the supervision of the Program and Project Supervisor, incumbent will perform analyses on a broad range of regulatory issues in water utility General Rate Cases, in areas such as sales forecasting, rate design, operating expenses, capital investment, service quality, conservation, cost of capital, cost allocations, and affiliate transactions. Incumbent will also evaluate other non-general rate case requests and Commission proposals, perform quantitative and policy analyses, identify alternative solutions, and make appropriate recommendations on behalf of California ratepayers. Incumbent will prepare written reports, formal comments, and expert witness testimony to present analyses and recommendations. Incumbent will testify as an expert witness in formal hearings and represent the Public Advocates Office in public meetings and other regulatory forums.

PURA I Salary range: $4,239.00 - $6,912.00
