Human Resources Project Coordinator Leadership Associate (Confidential) (Hybrid)

The State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS) Human Resources (HR) is recruiting for one (1) anticipated Human Resources Project Coordinator (Leadership Associate (Confidential)) to join the Statewide Human Resources Program Management team.

Position Details:
  • Full-time, 40 hours/week

  • When in the office, the reporting location for this position is DAS (450 Columbus Blvd. in Hartford), with statewide travel to other agency Human Resources office locations. 
Promotional Opportunity: 
The Leadership Associate (Confidential) position is a classification designed to provide training and experience with the goal of independently performing the full functions of a managerial Human Resources Generalist 1.   

The Human Resources Statewide Program Management team provides services to 16 agencies. As a Leadership Associate, you will be required to successfully complete a training plan, not to exceed three (3) years (dependent on candidate’s education and experience). Upon successful completion of the training plan, the candidate will proceed to the target class of Human Resources Generalist 1.  

Position Responsibilities: 
Duties include, but are not limited to: 
  • Assist with analysis, recommendations, and implementation of statewide processes, workflows, and programs. 
  • Assist the team by overseeing initiatives and making recommendations, utilizing technology, to continue improving efficiencies and effectiveness of service. 
  • Assist the team in working directly with agency Human Resources leadership to develop and provide strategies to workplace issues while supporting and optimizing the operating principles of the agency. 
  • Create and implement surveys, collecting and analyzing data to make business decisions. 
  • Assist in full-cycle recruitment of Human Resources employees. 
  • Assist in creating training sessions on various related Human Resources topics. 
  • Using a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to create various analytics and workforce reports. 
  • Maintain internal documents like organization charts in Visio. 
  • Assist in preparing reports, documents, and correspondences. 
  • Plan, organize, and schedule meetings with DAS and agency Human Resources teams, taking notes during the meeting. 
  • Assist team in performing other ad hoc tasks, research, and reporting, as assigned.

  • Develop and maintain working relationships with Human Resources Business Partners and DAS Human Resources teams.
