Mental health research - Community Health Worker - Cantonese speaking

The Disparities Research Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a full time Community Health Worker who is fluent in Cantonese to deliver the Positive Minds Strong Bodies mental health and disability prevention intervention. The incumbent will take part in the following key roles:

-Recruit, screen and interview potential participants from clinical and community-based settings 
-Participate in required training certification for the intervention, including conducting practice and pilot cases
-Deliver mental health intervention sessions and control calls for adult and elder participants. The intervention is offered for English, Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese-speaking participants, and can be delivered in person and by phone or zoom.
-Participate in weekly supervision calls and take part in quality control of sessions to ensure continuous training and fidelity to the intervention
- Collect and maintain audio-recordings and track and upload materials for participants
- Work with research staff to follow up with intervention patients who have been hard to reach
-Take part in other activities as needed including transcriptions and translation
 
Qualifications - External
Qualifications include:

Self-starter with excellent communication skills. 
Ability to work well as a member of a team
Interest in address mental healthcare disparities
Willingness to learn new technology
Attention to detail 
 
Bachelor's degree required.
Access to a car is preferred for home visits of participants.
