The Mongan Institute Health Policy Research Center at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) seeks a full-time research assistant for research projects at the intersections of public health, clinical care, health services research, and health policy. Current studies include examining the effects of tobacco and vaping control policies; promoting healthy eating, nutrition, and food security; and studying the impact of prevention and improved health care management on health care costs and efficiency. The research assistant will work under the supervision of Principal Investigator, Dr. Levy, and will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of clinicians, social scientists, and statisticians. This position is an excellent opportunity for those interested in gaining experience in disease prevention, health promotion, public health policy, and health services research. The responsibilities of the clinical research assistant include but are not limited to the following activities:
Conducting literature reviews.
Assisting with qualitative data collection and analysis from interviews with policy-makers.
Identifying, obtaining, and combining disparate data sources.
Maintaining research-related files and regulatory materials including Institutional Review Board compliance.
Basic data analyses.
Assisting with the preparation of manuscripts, grant applications, and reports to funding agencies.
Assisting with the preparation of scientific abstracts, posters, and PowerPoint presentations.
Organizing and participating in study-related meetings.
Providing general administrative support to all project members.
