Editorial Intern (Summer Full Time)

All applicants should be prepared to come into our New York City office two to three times a week throughout their summer internship.
WRITING at ideamix
This position requires some experience with writing and will help interns gain journalistic experience, publish their edited pieces under their own byline on theideamix.com and learn copywriting skills. The overall objective will be to help conceive, research, create and edit content for IDEAMIX to have a practical, representative experience of working at a media company. While this is an unpaid internship, we provide a lunch & transportation stipend.
Interns in this position will have pieces published every two weeks and will go through an editing process on every piece with the founder of the company. They will also be responsible for maintaining the library. Interns will learn writing skills, how to optimize articles using basic SEO rules, and will gain experience using WordPress.
This internship commences on May 29th and concludes on August 18th. Interns are expected to work up to 40 hours a week.
Interns will have an opportunity to work closely with the founder of Ideamix, Samhita Jayanti. The founder has extensive career experiences and networks across a range of finance, journalism and technology and can be helpful in full-time job placement for future career goals.
