Analyst, Disease Market Research

About REACH. We are a startup market research company aiming to help the world’s life sciences professionals master any rare disease market, quickly. Our work is a combination of research, data analytics, and storytelling. We are looking to expand our team to help build on and accelerate our early momentum. Our clients include pharmaceutical companies, life sciences consulting firms, and academic institutions.

About the Role. REACH is currently looking for an upbeat and enthusiastic Analyst to generate disease market analyses and insights. A successful candidate will thrive in our fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and have the ability to autonomously conduct market research projects directly or in collaboration with contractors and junior staff. This role offers the opportunity for rapid professional growth and the ability to be integral in shaping our company’s research capabilities and operations. We are looking for someone who wants to take a fresh, modern approach to conducting and delivering disease market insights and solutions to the life sciences industry. As the company grows, this role can easily transition into a leadership role and we are looking for someone with leadership potential.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Conduct primary and secondary market research for rare diseases that span all therapeutic areas.
  • Author market research studies for our product solutions.
  • Conduct custom market research projects.
  • Create sales and marketing content (e.g., blogs, video animations, case studies, white papers, infographics, LinkedIn campaign content) to support business development activities.
  • Participate in client meetings and conference speaking engagements.
  • Take on special projects as they arise. Example past projects include webpage re-design (ranging from content creation to the visual design), creating marketing brochures, identifying and selecting a vendor for a specific REACH need, and designing prototypes for new products and testing with pharmaceutical professionals.

What we’re looking for. We care about the usual items (e.g., education, work experience, technical skills); these are the fundamentals that you’ll see below. We also care deeply about who you are as a person – your values, your soft skills, and your attitude towards working amidst constant change and challenge. If you are looking for a role that is a mix of core responsibilities (e.g., work aligned to your superpower skills) and new responsibilities that could change from month to month (sometimes week to week), then you just might be a fit for the REACH experience.

Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree (MS, MBA, MPH, or PhD) in the life sciences with 0-2 years of pharmaceutical market research or consulting experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Required Skills and Proficiencies:
  • A wiz with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong data visualization skills. We are looking for not just the ability to create various charts and tables but the imagination and creativity to convey data, information, and insights in a visually compelling and easy-to-understand format.
  • Strong writing skills are a must. We value brevity in writing and the ability to convey ideas and insights in pithy and impactful statements.
  • Experience conducting primary market research (i.e., conducting interviews with physicians, writing market research surveys and discussion guides) is a plus.

Benefits:
  • Health coverage including medical and dental insurance
  • Unlimited paid time off (if you’re not taking time off, we will insist that you do)
  • Work from home with requisite attendance to one to two in-person team meetings each month
  • Flexible schedule with most working hours during business hours in eastern time

Location: Massachusetts (preferably Greater Boston area).
