Research Technologist I

Biomedical Research Technologist

Background
Our laboratory at Northwestern University has an opening for a highly motivated research technologist to assist us on research projects related to human cancer tissue engineering and models for clinical prediction. Our multi-faceted research program includes experts in computational, murine and cellular biology. We are seeking a technologist who enjoys working in a trans-disciplinary team and be an integral part of large-scale, bold initiatives to better understand cancer and its complexity.

Role
  • Collects, prepares, and maintains required research documentation including informed consent records, case records, clinical notes, and medical reports.
  • Reports and assists with the management of human and murine protocols.
  • Works directly with human and mouse tissue/blood.
  • Responsible for biomolecular extractions from tissue and blood.
  • Irradiation of cells.
  • Responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the lab.
  • Other duties as assigned.
