We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Proposal Specialist located in Pittsburgh, PA.
What You’ll Do
As a Proposal Specialist – Business Development, you will manage complex RFP responses for new business opportunities, partnering with Sales, product teams and various other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy of information. Possess advanced industry and product knowledge and demonstrate a mastery of relevant subject areas which is required to craft compelling proposals. Serve as an editor and peer reviewer for other team members.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead the team’s most complex proposals, primarily for large institutional clients.
- Manage the proposal production process independently from start to finish.
- Determine product suitability, positioning points, key strategies and themes customized for each proposal submission.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in product, investment management, marketing, sales and other key business units to create compelling, product specific and industry-related content to be delivered in proposals for new business.
- Collaborate within Product and Marketing Management Division to ensure that proposal content is consistent and utilized in a manner compatible with other marketing and consultant database content.
- Organize “launch meetings” when deemed necessary by management to ensure all internal partners are on the same page for a given RFP opportunity.
**The experience level of the candidate will determine level of position as Proposal Specialist or Sr. Proposal Specialist**
The Expertise We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Communications, Marketing, English or related experience in lieu of degree required
- Minimum 3 years of RFP/DDQ experience or relevant investment management experience required; Proposal experience in investment management industry strongly preferred.
- Writing experience to include crafting and developing compelling written responses required.
- Experience managing large projects simultaneously ensuring efficient utilization of resources required.
- Analytical skills including data manipulation required.
- Understanding of investment management industry including key terminology, market trends, regulatory considerations, etc. required; In-depth, working knowledge of investment management industry preferred.
