Mental Health Therapist

Our Outpatient Service Program is offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus and looking for passionate therapists to provide vital mental health care. As a Mental Health Therapist for the Boys & Girls Club, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of youth through direct therapy, assessments, and case management, all while working in an inclusive and culturally responsive environment. Take advantage of this incredible opportunity to make a positive difference; The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for the ongoing provision of culturally responsive mental health services to youth and their families, including individual and group therapy.

Our Outpatient delivers services to children, youth and families impacted by trauma, anxiety, depression and other profound challenges, Seneca's Outpatient Clinic offers individual and family therapy, intensive social-emotional support and crisis services, and
psychiatry services.

Responsibilities

  • Support the diverse and inclusive programming individualized for each Club 
  • Create mental health processes and procedures within the Clubs, including the implementation and monitoring of a referral system identifying youth who require additional behavioral health services.  
  • Collect and monitor data to track services provided and effectiveness of interventions  
  • Provide case management, child, family and/or group therapy utilizing culturally informed and best practice modalities 
  • Complete assessment and evaluation process of assigned clients, engaging with collateral contacts with informed consent 
  • Implement a case specific treatment plan with individualized goals 
  • Provide crisis intervention services as needed 
  • Complete documentation in compliance to agency and Medicaid requirements 
  • Comply with all requirements of child abuse reporting, Medicaid compliance and confidentiality in accordance with standards set by Seneca Family of Agencies and Boys & Girls Club King County 

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy or similar field
  • LMFT or LICSW in Washington preferred, may possess LMFTA, LSWAIC or LMHC in accordance with Washington State Department of Health requirements
  • Experience working with youth 
  • Valid Washington Drivers License and insurability by Seneca's automobile insurance carrier 
  • Clearance of TB test, fingerprints, and any other state or federal requirements
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination  

Schedule

  • Full-Time
  • Monday to Friday
  • 9:00 am- 5:00 pm

  • Starting salary at $65,500- $79,500 annually, Actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role
