Watershed Planning Internship

Internship description: The purpose and role of this position is to provide support to the Watershed Planning team in tasks related to developing, updating, and implementing watershed and jurisdictional plans. Assist with preparation of Water Quality Improvement Plan Annual Reports, drafts and updates Jurisdictional Runoff Management Plan annual reporting forms, and California Environmental Quality Act documents 
-Prepare meeting materials, take meeting notes, and attend project meetings
-Research stormwater regulations and policies 
-Data entry and management
-Assisting with the management of project documents and data 
-Special watershed and jurisdictional projects and studies as needed 
-Develop and build confidence in professional skills related to environmental analysis documents, water quality improvement issues, and CEQA by end of internship
-Develop experience with preparation of technical environmental documents by reviewing and assisting in the preparation of 5 documents within 6 months
-Develop database management and data entry skills by accurately collecting and tracking data during internship
-Apply time management throughout internship by adhering to telework schedule and submitting work products in accordance with assigned deadlines
-Understand the role of the Stormwater Department in relation to the City by end of internship
-Learn water quality regulations and plans that impact and influence our department such as MS4 Permit, Portor-Cologne Water Quality Act, Basin Plan, etc. by end of internship
