Graphic Designer

Reports to: Manager, Branding & Design
 
Location: Remote Work
 
Term:   Part-time (20 – 30 hours/week), expected to end December 31, 2023, pending additional funding

Position Summary:
 
The Graphic Designer is a part-time position that will support a range of communications activities for digital platforms.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Design materials related to Sabin’s branding, programs, conferences and events
  • Assist in designing and deploying social media campaigns, producing infographics, social graphics, data visualizations, gifs, etc.
  • Create high-quality pamphlets, one-pagers, and reports for digital and print outputs
  • Produce PowerPoint slide presentations
  • Carry out back-end website updates in WordPress
  • Design easy-to-use templates for team members to ensure Sabin’s brand is always well represented
  • Responsible for ensuring Sabin’s digital asset management system contains up-to-date materials and resources
  • Assist with on-boarding and off-boarding tasks for staff
  • Other communications related tasks as assigned
 
Requirements:
 
  • 2+ years’ experience in graphic design or related field
  • Design portfolio demonstrating any skills and work relevant to this position
  • Ability to work 20-30 hours per week
  • Demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Canva a plus
  • Video editing skills a plus
  • Writing experience a plus
  • Ability to follow and work within existing brand guidelines
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and highly flexible
  • Self-starter who’s always looking to improve processes and quality of work
  • An interest in vaccines and global health is preferred
  • Must demonstrate interest in furthering Sabin’s mission

Sabin’s philosophy is to ensure fair, unbiased, equitable, and competitive compensation and benefits. Using benchmarking and salary survey data, the compensation for this position ranges from $ 25.00 to $30.00 hourly. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, certifications/degree.
