Part Time Client Specialist (Edina, MN)

This is a Part- Time role, working 30 hours, 4 days per week, that includes benefits!

As a Client Specialist, you will:

Be responsible for the client service and business operation functions of a successful family wealth advisor team.
  • Support the team in serving the needs of high-net-worth clientele with complex needs.
  • Cultivate and enhance client relationships through high touch, personalized service.
  • Process client requests in a timely way and resolve issues if they arise.
  • Schedule and prepare for client meetings including assembling reports and materials.
  • Manage team’s marketing, social media presence, and seek ways to enhance team’s marketability and business effectiveness.
  • Be responsible for client onboarding coordination (assisting with proposal generation, preparing new account paperwork, opening accounts, transitioning assets to Baird and establishing an ongoing client service plan).
  • Establish relationships and coordinate with clients’ outside advisors (CPA’s and attorneys).
  • Gain knowledge of and leverage partnership with Baird’s internal experts including the Family Wealth Team to provide the best solutions to clients.
  • Maintain Client Relationship Management (CRM) system for the team.
  • Ensure business adherence with firm and financial industry regulatory policies.
  • May enter security orders including stocks, bonds, fixed income, options, annuities and other investment vehicle orders per advisor’s instructions or upon client’s verbal direction.
  • May also provide back-up to other teams and the branch when necessary, as well as perform other duties and special projects as necessary.

What we look for:
  • 2+ years of prior industry and/or administrative work experience.
  • Experience working at a financial services firm desired; experience working with clients in the UHNW market segment is a plus.
  • Active Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam, Series 7, and Series 66 or Series 63 and Series 65 licenses OR be willing to study and obtain within 18 months of hire. Training and resources to be provided and paid for by Baird.
  • Proactive with a strong service orientation - focused on delivering high touch client service and relationship building.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that allow them to establish and build trusting relationships with clients.
  • Highly detail oriented with an emphasis on accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills -- consistent ability to prioritize workflow of team to achieve specific goals in a timely manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to adeptly exchange ideas and information as well as edit and proof communications.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to learn and effectively navigate Baird’s Private Wealth Management technology platforms.
  • Marketing experience or interest in building brand awareness to support business development is a plus.
  • Ability to learn and follow Baird compliance regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.
