This position is to provide support for the evaluation for variety of projects including evaluating the CDFA farm to school program, CDFA's pest prevention program and assisting the evaluation for the Southwest regional marketing center project. The person hired will be responsible for database management, organize interviews, focus groups, and handle survey logistics for the research team. In collaboration with team leads, tasks include 1) developing and/or updating the database of who will be approached to be interviewed along with their contact information and basic information included in the application such as type of grantee, etc.; 2) conducting outreach to potential interviewees and focus group participants for recruitment, along with communication and follow up with participants; 3) scheduling interviews and focus groups; 4) managing, saving, and submitting recording files for transcription, 5) reviewing audio recordings and validating coding based on qualitative data analysis software; 6) coordinating administrative paperwork with research respondents, the accounting team, and the research team, including incentive payments and consent forms; 7) managing large databases related pest prevention activities and 8) helping to prepare reports. Position may include conducting interviews and/or focus groups, depending on project needs. Strong analytical skills including knowledge of using basic logical functions in Excel is required.

This position is a contract appointment that is 100% fixed, and ends two years from date of hire with the possibility of extension if funding permits.

The home department for this position is the Agriculture Issues Center. While this position normally is based at 2801 2nd Street in Davis, CA, this position is eligible for hybrid flexible work arrangements, for applicants living in the State of California, at this time. Please note that hybrid flexible work arrangements are subject to change by the University.

Pay Scale: $24.95/hour to $33.96/hour
