TZP Group is a multi-strategy investment firm focused on investments in Technology & Business Services and Consumer Products & Services companies with three dedicated teams managing approximately $2 billion of capital. TZP Private Equity:
Founded in 2007, TZP Group has two dedicated private equity strategies focused on control buyout investments in the lower middle market. TZP Capital Partners seeks to make buyout investments of $40 - $130 million in businesses with $10+ million of EBITDA. TZP Small Cap Partners seeks to make buyout investments of $10 - $40 million in businesses with less than $10 million of EBITDA.
 
Overview and Responsibilities:
As a Private Equity Analyst Intern, you will be exposed to a broad set of experiences and given the opportunity to:
  • Work as part of the investment teams across both buyout strategies and on buyout transactions sourced by TZP’s cross-strategy Impact Investing team
  • Assist with the evaluation of potential investment opportunities
  • Create company and industry research
  • Complete financial and operating projects and reporting for portfolio companies
  • Learn to perform financial modeling and increase analytical skills
The Private Equity Analyst Intern role is a paid position for undergraduates seeking a career in finance and private equity investing. The position will provide both training and development in regards to evaluating investment opportunities as well as exposure to the internal processes of a private equity firm. Successful interns may be awarded a return offer as a full-time Analyst in either TZP Capital Partners or TZP Small Cap Partners post-graduation. 
 
The Summer 2024 program will be in-person at TZP’s New York office. Candidates from diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:
  • Anticipated graduation date in December 2024 or Spring 2025
  • Demonstrated academic excellence with a GPA of 3.5 or higher preferable  
  • Significant coursework completed in accounting, finance, and economics
  • Completion of a prior internship in finance or a related field
  • Unrestricted US Work Authorization required (TZP will not sponsor visas)
