UW-Madison Job Rotation Program: Finance, HR, or IT Tracks
UW-Madison Job Rotation Program has 3 positions, hiring multiple people for each track:
- Associate IT Professional - Job Rotation Program
- Associate Financial Specialist - Job Rotation Program
- Associate Human Resources Generalist - Job Rotation Program

Our Job Rotation Program participants experience four 6-month rotation assignments over two years to provide broad exposure across campus in different facets of their selected track: finance, human resources (HR) or information technology (IT). Each rotation is uniquely designed through a combination of university priorities and individual interests. Employees are hired and onboarded as a cohort to provide a community experience with a focus on shared learning through work such as group projects, case studies and contributions to the development of the program overall. All three tracks of the program - Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology - prepare rotators to be well-equipped to transition to permanent roles on campus at the end of the program.

Qualifications:
-Learning agility and desire for experience across the diverse domains of:
- Finance and Accounting, or
- Human Resources; or
- Information Technology
-Adaptability to adjust to new work environments and flexibility to adjust actions and mindset to new situations
-Effective communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to take initiative in advocating and prioritizing workload and self-manage work within ambiguity
-Detail oriented and strong problem solving and decision-making skills
-Foundational knowledge in either financial, human resources, or information technology depending on track of the program
-Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills; ability to prepare, analyze and interpret policies and procedures
-Ability to efficiently work with all levels of employees and management within the organization
-Other qualifications may apply based on the specific track of the program (finance, human resources or information technology)
Preferred Qualifications:
-Prior relevant internship or entry-level work experience
-Demonstrated comfort in a dynamic environment
-Knowledge of relevant principles, practices, and procedures-Experience with projects and day-to-day administrative work
-Presentation skills
-Comfort and ability to work within ambiguity
-Other preferred qualifications may apply based on the specific track of the program (finance, human resources or information technology)

Orientation for this new cohort will begin on Monday, July 22, 2024 with the first rotation beginning August 5, 2024.
