Cloud Operations Intern

The Cloud Operations team is responsible for providing world-class infrastructure for hosting Cvent’s SaaS platforms. We leverage the latest and greatest technologies public cloud has to offer. As a Senior Engineer, you will be working with multiple talented teams of engineers that support Cvent’s mission-critical SaaS hosting infrastructure and supporting services. These teams are responsible for large and diverse AWS cloud-based infrastructure environments in the US and Europe.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Lead key cloud infrastructure initiatives that align with our critical business objectives
  • Improve our customer’s experience by designing and implementing reliable cloud services
  • Collaborate closely with other teams across Cvent’s Technology divisions, including Site Reliability Engineering, Enterprise service, and Security
  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to associate-level team members and help to define and drive best practices across the division
  • Due to the 24x7x365 nature of cloud infrastructure operations, this role may require a flexible work schedule and off-hours support from time to time.

Here's What You Need:

  • Passion and aptitude for learning technology and solving problems
  • Experience with Linux and/or Windows-based production environments
  • Knowledge of public cloud ecosystems (AWS)
  • Significant experience with automating routine tasks using Python, PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript, or similar
  • Experience managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins, or similar
  • Good understanding of networking protocols, infrastructure security, and database technologies
  • Good problem-solving skills, enthusiastic work approach, and self-motivated
  • Must be able to work with distributed teams
  • Graduation date of May 2025 
  • Cumulative GPA above a 3.0
  • Bachelor’s in related IT field
