LOCATION: Winston-Salem, NC

 

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?  

It’s time to put what you’ve learned in the classroom to work in our Marketing department as an Insights and Foresights Intern.

 

This role is highly visible and is an integral part of the Marketing team with tremendous learning opportunities. The intern in this position will provide decision and analytical support to critical cross-functional areas. You will be assigned a challenging project that will allow you to have fun while adding value and encountering outstanding career development support.

 

The summer internship will span across 10 weeks. You will work at our Plaza building located in Winston-Salem, NC.

What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?

The Insights and Foresights Interns will work alongside full-time Insights and Foresights managers to contribute to the successful execution of strategic plans and marketing programs for our portfolio of brands.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Participates in a full-time, 40-hour work week Internship Program for 10 weeks.
  • Collaborates with other marketing employees, works cross-functionally.
  • Develops and executes strategic initiatives, under mentor guidance.
  • Functions independently and collaboratively.
  • Learns about product, pricing and marketing brand strategies.
  • Develop and present a project at the end of the internship, addressing real business opportunities and creating action plans against those opportunities.
  • Timely completes administrative tasks including e-Learnings, expense reports.
  • Completes personal development and training sessions on social styles and adaptive communication.
  • Effectively and appropriately uses independent judgment in making business and strategy recommendations.

 

CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?

  • Can you work a full-time schedule during the 10 weeks of the summer internship program?

 

 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

 

  • Rising Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree- Business Degree Preferred  
  • 21 years or older at the start of the Internship Program
  • Advanced MS Office skills – including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to network, and the agility to work with cross-functional teams and Key Stakeholders
  • A highly analytical, creative, dependable, self-motivated leader with a passion for winning
  • An innovative problem solver with strong communication skills

 

BENEFICIAL

  • Previous experience in a marketing focused role – brand marketing, field market trade or business-to-business

SALARY AND BENEFITS OVERVIEW

Wage Information

Hourly Rate: Undergraduate Rate: $21.00 per hour / Graduate Rate: $38.50 per hour
