2024 Summer Internship - Investment Banking

Join Natixis as part of our Summer Intern Program and embark on a 10-week journey of learning and discovery within the world of banking. Over the course of the program, you will work alongside industry experts on concrete projects and develop an understanding of how Natixis CIB operates. This program gives you hands-on finance experience and exposure to our international corporate culture.

 

You will participate in a mid-internship and end-of-internship evaluation to ensure that you are honing your skills and receiving timely feedback on your performance.

The Summer Internship Program is a primary source of hiring into our two-year post-graduate Program Analyst positions.

 

Within our Banking Pool, you will work in a fast-paced environment, gaining real experience and exposure to products to get a well-rounded view into the Natixis CIB through the two-desk rotation.

 

Over the course of the internship, you will be able to build relationships across different areas of the firm. Your internship coordinator and assigned managers will ensure that you work on a mix of projects and deal activity over the10-week program so that you are best positioned to understand the world of finance.

 

Activities include but are not limited to: Investment Banking (Debt Capital Markets, Global Trade Finance, Aviation Finance, Real Estate & Hospitality, Infrastructure, Leveraged Finance), Coverage Banking, and Latin America Platform, headquartered in New York.

 

Rotational structure: two placements of five-weeks each. You’ll experience two exciting facets of the banking industry, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the overall business.

Placements will be determined through interview feedback and business needs before the internship begins.

 

Qualifications

This program targets candidates in their third year of undergraduate studies with a high level of academic achievement, who are interested in working within a rapidly changing and demanding, but ultimately rewarding environment. The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Financial analysis: capability for analysis and strategic thinking,
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to changes in the financial markets, industry dynamics, and company strategies,
  • Communication skills: Effective communication skills - both verbal & written,
  • Problem solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and make sound recommendations based on available data,
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with others,
  • Initiative: Willingness and ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial,
  • Industry Knowledge: A basic knowledge of how the markets work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

The pay for this position will be $40.86 per hour.

The program lasts 10 weeks, from June 3, 2024 to August 9, 2024
