Commercial Summer Internship Program
The Commercial Summer Internship Program is designed to give interns a look at Citizens Bank’s culture and exposure into one of the many commercial banking business lines through project-based assignments, learning curriculum, networking, volunteer opportunities and formal mentorship. Responsibilities will vary based on the group you’re assigned to and will leverage your unique skills and abilities. At the conclusion of the 10-week program, high-performing interns will be considered for a potential offer for direct employment into the Monitoring and Testing team. Note that the Monitoring and Testing team is in Boston, MA, and only candidates willing to relocate to Boston will be considered for the position.
Opportunities Overview:
Commercial Banking Risk, a division of Commercial Banking, is a first line of defense (LOD) function. We partner with Commercial Banking leaders to identify, assess, manage, and control the risks associated with the products, services, and activities offered within the business line.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the testing of controls to determine if business processes are operating as intended
- Assist with documenting control processes, data collection to support various regulatory exams
- Support division’s strategic initiatives. Examples could include projects related to advancing digitization efforts, Commercial’s Environmental, Social and Governance strategy (ESG), etc.
- Report formatting and distribution
Qualifications
- Current students enrolled in an undergraduate program, graduating between Winter 2024 – Spring 2025
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.5
- Relevant work experience or coursework in Finance, Accounting or Economics is preferred but all majors will be considered.
- Strong analytical skills and software skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency is required.
- You must currently be a U.S. Resident to be eligible for this program.
