Description:

BHA is seeking a fun and motivated individual with a passion for working in the non-profit sector as an Intern to assist with social media tasks. Under the direction of the communication team & operations team, the intern will gain experience in the outdoor industry and basic management of social media across multiple platforms.

BHA is looking for someone that works well in a team but is also effective at working independently. This position offers a flexible schedule, but it is important that the intern be reliable and communicative.

Primary Responsibilities:

The intern will engage in the following:

Create and curate engaging content for our social media platforms, including but not

limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Monitor and respond to comments and messages on our social media channels.

Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies to increase brand

awareness and drive engagement.

Research industry trends and competitors to identify opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media efforts with broader marketing

campaigns.

Track and analyze key social media metrics and provide regular reports on performance.

Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Communications, or with a strong background in social media

Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Proficiency in using social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and

LinkedIn.

Creative thinking and the ability to generate fresh ideas for content.

Basic knowledge of social media analytics and tracking tools is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Passion for social media and a desire to learn and grow in this field.

Proficient with Microsoft applications

Must be a hunter and/or angler.

Must be self-motivated with the initiative to work independently and remotely.

Must be an analytical thinker with the ability to work cooperatively in a team

environment and coordinate with other sportsmen and conservation organizations.

Must conduct work with integrity, good humor, and focus on developing partnerships,

building trust, and strengthening professional relationships.

Highly organized, decisive and a quick problem solver

Must be able to lift 25 pounds and have a valid driver’s license.
