Student Support Coordinator

The Student Support Coordinator assists with day-to-day activities of the College of Engineering student programs.

 

50% Facilitates extracurricular programs for COE students which includes coordination of the EXCELD tutoring program and assisting with coordinating the Engineering Supplemental Instruction program.

 

20% Assists with planning and execution of summer programs which includes coordinating with COE Academic Affairs to plan summer camps and assisting the Director with freshman bridge programs.

 

20% Assists with creation and delivery of resources for teaching and learning. Collaborates with the Director on interdisciplinary and campus-wide teaching and learning initiatives. Coaches students on written, oral, visual, and technological communication projects within engineering.

 

10% Assists with data collection and program assessments, the Chevron Center for Engineering Education studio as needed, and COE Student Services as needed with recruiting events, student activities, and commencement. Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 1 year of related experience or experience designing and executing educational programs for students.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree and 5-10 years of experience coordinating student programs at an institute of higher education; K-12 or university teaching experience; demonstrated work in the scholarship of engineering education; exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
