Digital Content Producer
KTXS/KTXE has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic full-time Digital Content Producer for our News! In this role, you will be required to produce daily content on a variety of platforms including the internet and social networks, along with performing other duties as assigned by the news managers. Additionally, this role includes on-air work for trending social/digital stories as well as cross-platform storytelling. The ability to work under deadlines and on a flexible schedule that will include evenings, holidays, and/or weekends is required.

In this role, you will be required to produce daily content on a variety of platforms including the internet and social networks, along with performing other duties as assigned by the news managers. Additionally, this role includes on-air work for trending social/digital stories as well as cross-platform storytelling. The ability to work under deadlines and on a flexible schedule that will include evenings, holidays, and/or weekends is required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Solid news judgment
- Be a compelling and accurate writer
- Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
- Background of on-air work. Please include your demo reel link.
- Be able to multitask and manage time in order to put together exciting and informative articles and postings
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- The ability to execute news strategies and goals
- Flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities are a must
- Proficient with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems, such as iNews
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- A Journalism degree is preferred
