Finance Intern
The Finance & Accounting Intern will get exposure to core accounting functions like accounts payables, accounts receivables, inventory, physical verification, fixed assets accounting, and payroll accounting. Reporting directly to Manager Finance & Accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts payables.
- Obtain confirmations for processing all kind of vendor invoices.
- Monitoring vendor accounts to enable timely payment of vendor invoices.
- Periodic analysis of various expense heads.
Accounts receivables.
- Ensure prompt customer invoicing
- Monitor customer balances and follow up for timely payments.
- Prepare and analyze customer ageing reports.
Payroll Accountability.
- Create weekly reports for accounting purposes of Hourly/Salaried employees.
- Reports are also created for analyzing Overtime, Department total, and number of employees.
Monitoring of Financial Accounts.
- Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations are done to make sure that there are no discrepancies in any account.
- Record transactions in books of accounts.
Fixed assets and inventory valuation.
- Assist in fixed asset capitalization and depreciation.
- Assist in physical verification of assets.
- Assist in annual physical stock count of inventory.
Interactions with:
- Internal departments.
- External vendors.
Requirements:
- Current Finance Undergrad or obtained Undergraduate degree in Finance.
- Have knowledge of Excel.
- Willing to Learn SAP, with training provided.
- Willing to learn new excel functions.
- Must be able to work remotely.
- Demonstrable acceptable skills in oral and written communications, independent judgement, problem solving and effective managing and adhering to timeline
