Lead Infant Teacher

Ethos Early Learning Center is growing! We are seeking a passionate Lead Infant teacher to join our Center in South Boston. Conveniently located near public transportation, our ideal candidate has a minimum of two years of experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or similar environment. Qualified candidates have completed or are working toward an associate or bachelor's degree in early child education or a related field; you meet all Massachusetts state licensing requirements for EEC professional qualifications; and you live within a commutable distance.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • There are flexible shifts available or full-time options too.
  • Our hours of operation are 8 am to 6 pm

Responsibilities:

Reporting to our Facilities Director, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assisting and managing the ongoing programming in the assigned classroom(s) professionally and confidentially and in a way that incorporates the developmental/culturally sensitive philosophy of the Center to ensure the highest quality of care, as well as compliance with NAEYC standards, Department of Early Education and Care requirements, QRIS, and health and safety regulations.
  • Upholds and is an exemplary model of the Ethos Learning Purpose, Vision, and Mission.
  • Promotes the culture of ethical compliance per the NAEYC Code of Ethics.
  • Follows and demonstrates an understanding of the Ethos Learning policies and procedures.
  • Is flexible and adaptable to the needs of Ethos Learning and the families' served needs.
  • Attends and actively participates in Ethos Learning faculty meetings.

Requirements:

  • CDA, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree (or working toward achieving) in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with infants/toddlers and commitment to nurturing their development.
  • Teacher Certified or Qualified
  • Meet Massachusetts state licensing requirements for EEC professional qualifications.
  • Strong verbal communicator with an upbeat personality who is comfortable and excels at speaking with parents.
  • Comes to work on time as scheduled.
  • Shows initiative, strong work ethic.
  • Ability to be a team player.
  • Energetic, nurturing, positive, child-friendly personality.
  • Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work to South Boston, MA 02127.
  • Ability to pass a thorough criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Must be able to sit on the floor, squat, run, and lift 60 pounds.
  • Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher Certified a plus.

Our competitive teacher salaries range from $18.00 to $26 per hour. Salary is contingent on the level of education completed and previous/current teaching experience.
