NetOps Intern

Job Overview:

This internship will participate fully as a member of the NetOps team. NetOps is responsible for providing compute, storage, networking, and security controls for the IQT business operations. This internship will be a part of our planning and project operations, and be exposed to our technical stacks and be welcomed to learn the ins and outs of how we operate our part of the business.
The intent of this internship is to provide hands on experience architecting and building automated processes and infrastructure.

Anticipated Project(s):
* GitLab template creation - easy to use Terraform and/or CI/CD templates to simplify self-service within the organization
* Grafana dashboard creation to expose metrics and enable operational decisions and analysis

Responsibilities

* Helping design and deploy infrastructure

* Work with other teams and stakeholders to help automate processes

* Tracking code or configuration changes to GitLab issues within project(s) epic

* Spoken and written communication skills

* Technical curiosity - should be passionate about “how things work”

* Ability to work well with others in a team or in a customer setting

* Oral and written communications

* Knowledge of Git

* Simple scripting
