Camp Visual Art Teacher- Summer Vacation 2024

Arlington Center for the Arts offers a variety of fun, creative arts programs for preschoolers through teens. Our camps value imagination, artistic exploration and self-expression. Currently, we are seeking a Visual Art Teacher for for several weeks throughout Summer Vacation Camp (6/24 - 8/30). Instructors are not committed to all weeks and are able to choose the weeks that work best for them.


Summer Camp runs weekly: 6/24 - 8/30

Week 1: 6/24- 6/28

Week 2: 7/1- 7/3

Week 3: 7/8-7/12

Week 4: 7/15- 7/19

Week 5: 7/22- 7/26

Week 6: 7/29-8/2

Week 7: 8/5-8/9

Week 8: 8/12-8/16

Week 9: 8/19- 8/23

Week 10: 8/26-8/30

 

Vacation Arts Camp runs Monday – Friday, 8:45 am – 4:30 pm. Teachers are contracted to work 8:45 - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, which includes an hour unpaid break and 30 min of paid prep each day. This program is for campers age 5-12. Campers are grouped by age and rotate from class to class for 1 - 1.25 hrs each. Campers are in groups of 10 maximum and will have a counselor to help guide them.

Art Academy runs Monday – Friday, 8:45 am – 4:30 pm. Teachers are contracted to work 8:45 - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, which includes an hour unpaid break and 30 min of paid prep each day. This program is for campers age 7-12. Campers are grouped by age and stay in the same classroom with the same teacher and counselor throughout the day. Campers are in groups of 12 maximum and will have a counselor to help guide them.

Teen Studio runs Monday - Friday, 8:45 - 4:00 PM, with one 45 min long, unpaid break and 30 min of paid prep each day. This program is for students age 12-18. Students are in morning and afternoon cohorts, so you will see different students Monday - Friday in your morning session (9 am - 12pm) as you will Monday - Friday in your afternoon session (1 - 4pm). You will have no more than 12 students in a given cohort.

Teachers are expected to write lesson plans for these activities and create a supplies list for ACA. We value diverse lived experience. Teaching degrees are not required.
