The Summer Intern program at CooperSurgical provides college students with the opportunity to participate in meaningful projects that contribute to the overall business unit objectives. In addition to the assigned projects, Interns are given the opportunity to participate in activities that encourage networking with peers, managers, and employees.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $18.00 and $24.00 per hour. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future.

Qualifications:

  • Current undergraduate student (Junior or Senior), Graduate student or recent grad (within six months of graduating)
  • Strong communication, leadership and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience utilizing Taleo, LinkedIn Recruiter, or other computer tracking systems
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Tech-savvy and multi-tasker

Responsibilities for Internal Candidates:

 Under the direction of the Sr.  Talent Acquisition Business Partner -University Relations, the Talent Acquisition Intern will be responsible for supporting ongoing operations, administrative work, and offering project support as needed for the team.

Essential Functions:

  • Utilize web-based tools including social media job boards, and applicant tracking systems (Taleo and LinkedIn Recruiter highly preferred) to source candidates for TA Business Partners
  • Assist in the planning, scheduling and activities of the Summer Internship program
  • Co-facilitate Cohort meeting
  • Participate in weekly check-in’s with the summer interns
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews, including in-person, video interviews, and coordination of long-distance travel accommodation for interviews
  • Assist TA Team members with coordination and set-up/tear down of career fairs and hiring events
  • Help grow CooperSurgical pipeline of talent through various sourcing channels
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by manager

Qualifications for Internal Candidates: 

  • Experience with scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, drafting offer letters and coordinating interviews
  • Current undergraduate student (Junior or Senior), Graduate student or recent grad (within six months of graduating)
