Paralegal Senior

Job Summary

Is responsible for direct supervision over Corporation Counsel Paralegals by providing training, guidance, and mentoring. Manages outside counsel communication and relationships. Develops legal procedures for use by Corporation Counsel Paralegals and Professional Staff. Conducts legal research and regularly consults with representatives from outside agencies for case status information. Performs various ad hoc computer operations. May compile, analyze, and report on information from primary and secondary legal sources, assist attorneys in court and perform related clerical procedures as assigned. Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • The application is incomplete in ANY capacity

  At the time of application:

1. Possession of a certificate or degree sanctioned by the American Bar Association a Paralegal or Legal Assistant.

2. Have had at least five (5) years of experience as a Paralegal.

College Transcripts
 If you have completed education higher than a high school diploma or GED, you must attach a copy of your official/unofficial transcript(s) that clearly state the type of degree and date awarded/conferred, institution name, and applicant name; and is in a format that cannot be modified or edited. Your application will not be considered for further review if you have failed to provide this information. Transcripts from outside the United States must be assessed for U.S. equivalency by a NACES National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (http://naces.org/members.html).
